The National Buying Group LLP (NBG) is an independent, progressive and fast growing group of privately owned builders merchants based throughout the United Kingdom.

NBG enables its 83 Partners to achieve the best possible buying terms from suppliers by providing a very cost effective route to the independent merchant market place.

The LLP’s Executive Board comprises nine elected merchant members and an independent Non-Executive Chairman.


NBG is now seeking to recruit a Non-Executive Chairman.

The Chairman will provide leadership and direction to the executive board and support, guidance and constructive challenge to the LLP’s chief executive and the Trading Board.


The Group requires a Chairman with independence of mind, significant and broadly based business skills and experience, ideally the candidate would have knowledge of the construction industry or distribution/trade business.

Previous chairing and non-executive experience needs to be demonstrated.
