John A Stephens signs up with Green Energy Centre

EAST MIDLANDS: John A Stephens is the latest merchant to take up a green energy centre franchise. In line with the company’s strategy to continually develop the range of services and products it has to offer, the green energy centre will offer additional and extended benefits to its existing and new customers.
Peter Stephens, managing director, stated that from the first meeting they saw the potential value added service and what it would bring to customers in preparation for the low carbon future. “We are all extremely excited about working with the green energy centre franchise. We have already ventured into the renewable market with solar installations to our head office premises. The ever increasing number of incentives, Renewable Heat Incentive, Feed in Tariffs and the soon to be released “Green Deal” are all covered by the Unimer backed green energy centre.”
Peter Stephens, who has recently been awarded the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” for his unstinting 40 years work on behalf of the merchants industry, now sees the continuation of this work towards greener credentials for his company and local community.
As an independent merchant John A Stephens has seen that to compete with national brands such as B&Q, Energy companies, Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s it needs to partner with those that can provide the resources to keep them up to date. As Peter said, “We need to get involved and the time is right to make the commitment now. We firmly believe that independent merchants will play a vital part in the low carbon future.”
