GLOUCESTESHIRE: Shower tray maker, Marleton Cross, is to expand its product line with shower cubicles for its current range after securing a £3.5m finance deal with Lloyds TSB Commercial.

Marleton Cross said the deal would help it "remain at the forefront" of the evolving UK bathroom market.

The business, which trades as The MX Group, supplies retailers and builders' merchants.

It is expected that the new range, set to launch next month, will add about £4m to the company's current £20m turnover by 2013.

Bernard Robinson, managing director at Marleton Cross, said: "We recognised that as the leading supplier of shower trays in the UK, we were in a prime position to diversify our offering to include a full range of screens and enclosures to ensure we maintained our strong trading position.

"We expect turnover to increase from £20m to £30m over the next five years."
