HIGH WYCOMBE: TRADA Technology has appointed Elizabeth Turner as its university liaison manager, offering support to teaching staff and students at more than 200 universities delivering architecture, design and engineering courses in the UK.

She will work closely with TRADA membership and marketing manager, Rupert Scott.

Chief operating officer Jon Osborn said: "Liz's background and experience in lecturing and preparing lecture materials across a number of our core areas, combined with her practical timber knowledge and strong organisational skills, put her in an excellent position to deliver ongoing success in this area."

Ms Turner joined TRADA Technology as technical consultant in 2006. She said: "This post is aimed at supporting universities with timber knowledge and forging links between academia and the timber industry.

"Today's construction students will become tomorrow's timber specifiers, viewing TRADA as a key source of information and inspiration."
