Published:  07 December, 2011

NORTH EAST LONDON: Willmott Dixon has won a £65m deal to develop a 1.5 hectare site in Walthamstow in a joint venture with supermarket giant, Morrison.

Work will transform an old car park and industrial area in the town centre into a new mixed-use scheme.

The £65m project will include a Morrison food store, a further 3000m2 of non-food retail units and 230 one to four-bed apartments above the store.

The redevelopment site is on South Grove, to the South West of Walthamstow High Street and adjacent to the St James Street railway station.
