COLCHESTER: Nine glaziers at Colchester-headquarted Kent Blaxill, the independent building supplies and glazing company, were presented with NVQ and management certificates recently as the firm continues to build up skill levels.

NVQ certificates were presented to Mick Greygoose, John Biggins, Leigh Soar, Matt Durant, Alex Young, Paul Meek and Ben Wallace (not pictured). In addition, Neil Currell and Paul Meek were presented with the Construction Site Safety Management Certificate, and Alec Poole with the NVQ Assessors certificate. Both Neil and Paul also received Nebosh Level 3 certificates for construction health and safety.

“The team have also completed a number of other qualifications,” said Adam Smith, glass department manager. “We have built up, we believe, the best qualified glazing team around and the department is continuing to grow as we take on more technical work.”

Two new glaziers have recently been recruited, taking the glazing team to 12.
