The company became GPH Builders Merchants and Mr Taylor was appointed company director in November 2004.

GPH managing director, Mike Maclellan, said: "Fred has played an integral part in the GPH team over the years. He is a Rothienorman chap and is a well-known face in the area so he has built some great relationships with all of his GPH team and customers."
