Transport managers' seminars help prepare for winter

Published:  22 November, 2011

TUNBRIDGE WELLS: The Highways Agency's winter preparation team will provide details of its severe winter weather preparations, and how transport operators can be prepared for severe conditions, at the Freight Transport Association's Transport Manager seminars.

The winter preparation session will give managers all the information operators need to minimise disruption when the weather is becoming more unpredictable.

The nationwide seminar series, aimed at preparing transport managers for the year ahead, has already passed the 1000 delegate mark – a significant increase on delegate numbers from 2010.

Goodyear and Shell support the seminars that give transport managers tools to meet the challenges of an increasingly pressured environment in which their role is often changing.

The Transport Manager seminar series, which has been touring the UK since September and finish at Ascot Racecourse at the end of month.

There are still a few places left at the three remaining seminars – to book a place call the FTA Member Service Centre on 08717 112 222.
