LEEDS: Firebird has officially opened their new national network of training centres at their Leeds centre.
Firebird training manager Brendan Twomey performed the official ribbon cutting to declare open the Firebird training area at the first of the new training centres to present the new, revised courses which now provide hands on diagnostics and commissioning elements in addition to product familiarisation and installation.
The two one-day courses at Leeds were attended by eight installers for the one day product and installation course with 14 service engineers and installers attending the second servicing and diagnostics course which includes product, including the new digital control box, installation, commissioning, fault identification elements and servicing.
All attendees are given a certificate of training to confirm their commitment to on-going training in order to keep abreast of the latest industry technology advances and best practice.
“This week has been very good indeed with a variety of training courses held to suit the needs of the attendee groups” said Mr Twomey “We really appreciate the interest shown in our product developments and the opportunities to get feedback on our products from those who actually install our boilers. This is valuable to us and is always referred to our R&D team for evaluation and action. Training is good for the installer, good for the industry and good for Firebird too.”
Barry Brynildsen, national sales manager for Firebird added: “We are firm believers in training and have set up the five new centres in conjunction with independent providers to offer a National network which gives convenient access to installers. It offers a relatively local facility, enabling busy installers to minimise travel required and time off the tools by providing valuable information on the latest developments.”
The five new centres are based at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Leeds, Hastings, Norwich and Wootton Basset and are in addition to existing facilities at Kingsbury and Ivybridge head office.
