Selco to promote internet presence

Published:  08 November, 2011

BIRMINGHAM: Builders' merchant Selco has asked internet marketing agency ClickThrough Marketing to introduce a search engine optimisation (SEO) strategy in a bid to improve the company's online visibility.

ClickThrough will work closely with Selco to improve search engine rankings, increase visits to their site and raise brand awareness with cutting-edge SEO techniques.

David Butlin, marketing co-ordinator, Selco, said: "As a trade-only retailer, our focus is on creating and building relationships with a very specific customer base.

"ClickThrough Marketing understands that the tradespeople who engage with our website are not looking for the same products or services as the average internet user. By delivering a tailored internet marketing strategy that caters for our customers' needs, ClickThrough can help us to reach out to new customers online and strengthen our connections with those who already use our service."

"Selco is an instantly recognisable brand among both tradespeople and the general public, and we are delighted to have been chosen us to implement its search marketing strategy," said Phil Robinson, commercial director at ClickThrough Marketing.

"We are sure that our SEO techniques can help Selco build on this recognition even further, and ultimately increase revenue and footfall in their trade outlets."
