ABERDEENSHIRE: A well-known North East firm is celebrating a 40% increase in sales for one of its leading brands.

TAP incorporates Aberdeen Pressure Washer Centre and operates from Duff Street in Turriff and Inverurie's Thainstone Centre.

Commenting on the upturn, TAP proprietor George Mearns said: "Sales through the traditional face-to-face method are very strong, but we are delighted to be offering TAP around the world through our website. It is proving to be a very strong commercial marketing tool for us."

The company stocks more than 12 000 product lines including brands such as Dewalt, Makita, Draper and Sealy.

It has reported a marked increase on Kärcher equipment, especially industrial and commercial pressure washers, thanks to sales from its two sites and worldwide through the internet.

The company celebrates its 30th anniversary later this year and became a Kärcher dealer soon after opening. It is the only Premier Dealer in the North of Scotland.
