LONDON: Juliet Baker of Jewson was the recipient of the Mason Elliott Trophy and a cheque for £250 for being the highest achiever at NVQ Level 3 at the Builders’ Merchants Federations’ Members’ Day in September.

Andrew Pine, president of the Institute of Builders’ Merchants presented Ms Baker with the award. A further £1000 is available to her employer, Jewsons, to enable her to continue her management development through the BMF.

Ms Baker will also receive one year's free associate membership of the IoBM.

“Juliet was selected for this award for being an articulate and confident apprentice who is a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication,” said Mr Pine.

"It was a great pleasure to present Juliet with her prize – recognising the achievement of individuals in the industry. Facilitating their continuing professional development is what the Institute is all about."

A report on Members’ Day is published in the October edition of Builders’ Merchants News on 21 October.
