Work starts on Glasgow art school

GLASGOW: Sir Robert McAlpine has won the contract to build the extension of the Glasgow School of Art. 

The firm won the job with a bid of £26m, nearly £9m below the highest price submitted in the six-bidder race, confirmed the Glasgow School of Art. Work is planned to begin later in the autumn.
