New plumbing supplier for Jarrow

Published:  08 September, 2011

JARROW: Craig Whitehouse and Asif Bilal have invested about £35 000 in getting Pinnacle Plumbing Supplies connected to the local business network.

Based in Albert Road, Jarrow, the firm supplies bathrooms and plumbing gear to professionals working in the trade and to the public. And the business gamble appears to be paying off, with Pinnacle's customer base growing by the day.

Whitehouse, 27, said: "Starting the business felt like a big step at the beginning, but we have now been going for about three months, and trade has been good.

"I've worked for major building companies in the past, and had my own company car in my last job, but I eventually decided I wanted to work for myself.

"Asif and I invested about £35 000 in starting the business – mostly in acquiring stock – and business has been good since we started.

"We were given a decent rate for the site from a business friend of ours, and we plan to push ahead and make the company grow."

Pinnacle Plumbing Supplies sources from a local wholesaler and aims to pass on competitive prices to both trade and individual customers.
