Bellway Roofing Contractors collapses

Published:  02 September, 2011

WIGAN:  Bellway Roofing Contractors has been placed in administration.

Conrad Beighton from London-based Shipleys is the joint administrator.

The firm, which employed around 30 staff, worked mainly in the northwest on domestic and commercial roofing but had also secured work in London.

On a framework for Wigan Council, the contractor built up a strong track record of school refurbishment and council housing jobs. Set up 17 years ago, Bellway was a member of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors and Constructionline. The roofing firm was also an approved contractor for Marley Waterproofing, Andersons, Redland, Garland (Liquid Plastics), Ruberoid, Clydesdale and Swish.
