Next opens new concept superstore with DIY

Published:  11 August, 2011

SHOREHAM: With the opening of its new store in Shoreham yesterday, high street retailer Next is, for the first time, offering DIY and garden products to their customers – everything from power drills to sheds and carpets to coordinating bathroom tiles.

The new store was opened by Changing Rooms presenter Carol Smillie and the Dulux Dog.

The store is the biggest in the Sussex area and stands just short of 56 000sqft.

Brand new Dulux paint, flooring and DIY sections form part of the home improvement department, while Next Home has expanded, introducing a range of carpets, tiles and flooring. Taps, sinks and even bathtubs may be bought and taken home the same day.

Customers can take full advantage of the Home Design Consultant based in the store, by either booking an appointment or having them visit your home. The one-to-one design consultancy service offers customers a chance to update or totally transform any room.
