Speedi Parts – saving installers’ time and money
Published: 10 August, 2011
LEAMINGTON SPA: Speedi Parts, a new motorcycle delivery service from Parts Center, gets that all-important part to installers in the field in double-quick time. Not only do installers save time and money but homeowners also get a better service.
The service, which is available to installers between 7.30am-4pm, offers same day delivery for £5 on items weighing up to 3kg. All fitters need to do is call the Speedi Parts hotline, and, if the part is in stock, it will be despatched instantly.
Speedi Parts, which has only been operating a few weeks, has enjoyed a great reception from installers.
Jason Field, from the West Midlands, said: “This is an excellent service. Our engineers have lost no time on the job waiting for the part because by the time they have stripped down the appliance the part has arrived. Not only does it save on our labour and fuel costs, it also impresses the customer who gets a one-visit repair.”
He added: “The service is well worth the small delivery cost. Branch managers love the service because it helps them to deliver an even better service to their customers."
Ben Sotiri, Balham’s branch manager, said: “It’s been a big boost to our business. We have one customer in West London who uses the service five or six times a day. It is also a really excellent way for branches to support each other because together we can offer a much more comprehensive service to customers. In central London with all the traffic the bikes are a huge advantage.”
Part Center branches in Balham, Belfast, Deptford, Edinburgh, Birkenhead, Manchester, Tottenham, Wembley, Wolverhampton and Leeds are already offering the service and there are plans to roll out the scheme across the country.
Colin McGregor, Parts Center trading director, said: “This service has been a real hit with installers, homeowners and our staff. It’s a great addition to our business and we plan to go nationwide with it. The hotline is like an emergency service for installers, keeping them in the field making money, instead of stuck in a traffic queue, trying to secure that vital part to finish the job.”
