Sika brings its new app to the Android market

Published:  21 July, 2011

WELWYN GARDEN CITY: Following the successful launch of its iPhone app, Sika has now released its Android app compatible with alternative mobile handsets.

Functioning in the same way as before, the Android app now features a more comprehensive stockist locator function.

The new Android app, which is free to download, now allows the user to search for stockists using either their current location, pinpointed on an easy to read map, or by selected geographical areas. As such, the user is able to search in a new, more advanced way which enables them to plan for future jobs in other locations, knowing where their nearest stockist will be.

Much in the same way as the iPhone app, the new Android app allows the user to access the full product catalogue making it easier to ascertain which product is best for the job. Covering Sika’s full range, including waterproofing, sealants and adhesives, landscaping, admixtures and preservatives, the app provides detailed information on each individual product and how it can be used.

Georgina Fraser, product manager for Sika commented: “Our new Android app incorporates some additional features not seen before and allows the user to access a wealth of information at their fingertips. In addition to the comprehensive product catalogue and enhanced search function, the Android app also allows professionals to enter competitions directly hosted through the app receiving exclusive offers and deals in turn.”

To download the new, free Sika Android app simply search for Sika Handbook within the Android Market function on the phone.
