WARWICKSHIRE: Dr Andrew Sentence will be the keynote speaker at this year's BMF Members' Day at the Forest of Arden Hotel, Meriden on 20 September.

A renowned economist, he has been a member of the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee. His period of office spanned the financial crisis, the ensuing recession and the beginnings of economic recovery. Dr Sentence became well known for his hawkish views on the control of inflation and of the need for a rise in interest rates.

David Purdy, one of the DECC (Department Environment for Climate Change), officials involved in Green Deal has also accepted the BMF's invitation and will bring members up-to-date on current developments.

Morning syndicates will focus on the Green Deal, online trading/social media, employment issues and the BMF 'Going Forward'.

The afternoon session will be based around the Federation's Supplier Liaison Meeting and will concentrate on individual product-focused groups.

The Members' Day Dinner will be held on the evening of the 19 September.
