Plumb Center focuses on the future

LEAMINGTON SPA: After 15 nationwide stops and countless installers the 2011 Future Plumb Night tour, hosted by Plumb Center, has come to an end.

The tour started in Scotland in late March and travelled to venues all across the UK before coming to a close in Birmingham at the end of May. This nationwide coverage ensured that installers up and down the country had an opportunity to come face-to-face with the future of plumbing and all that that involves.

The events largely focused on water conservation and the important role this plays in an installer’s business. Throughout the evening installers had the opportunity to listen to presentations from leading manufacturers reviewing different water conservation solutions, they were also then able to visit the manufacturers’ stands and physically interact with many different products.

The seven manufacturers supporting the tour were Mira, Ideal Standard, Jacuzzi, Bristan, Uponor, Gerberit and Kingspan.

Alan Stevenson, trading director, Plumb Center, said, “Plumb Center is increasingly aware that the future of the plumbing industry is very much in the hands of the installers – we have therefore invested a great deal of time and resource in developing events such as Future Plumb Nights which have been carefully designed to give installers the knowledge and confidence they need in this area.”

Installers did not just walk away from the event full of knowledge, but they had also been treated to a hot meal, drinks at the bar and entry into a prize draw with a chance to win a new plasma screen TV.

Plumb Center has also announced the return of the ever popular Future Heat Night tour this autumn – installers can look out for further details in their local branch.
