Harlow & Milner collapses
Published:  26 May, 2011

WAKEFIELD: Building contractor Harlow & Milner has collapsed. Peter Sargent from Begbies Traynor is handling the affairs of the contractor.

The builder has traded for 80 years and specialised in private and social housing. During the last few years a slowdown in orders and cut-throat bidding for local building work saw turnover dip below £10m, hitting company cash flow.

Despite management action to cut costs and reduce the workforce from 107 to around 60, the slowdown in work in the region finally took its toll.
