WOKING: As part of its commitment to renewable technologies and promoting best practice, chemical water treatment manufacturer Fernox, has become a member of the Ground Source Heat Pump Association (GSHPA).

Fernox has invested in the renewable market, resulting in what is claims is "a new generation of chemical water treatments to help support the future of the heating industry.

"We are delighted to join the Ground Source Heat Pump Association in promoting the benefits of the technology," commented Francine Wickham, the company’s global marketing director.

"An important part of our role is to highlight the need for chemical water treatment as without it –groundsource heat pumps cannot work to optimum performance and in a worst case scenario could experience system failure. The revisions to Part L of the Building Regulations reflect this need and include the requirement to clean and protect renewable systems."
