Scottish Highlands contractor fails

NAIRN: John A Jack Contracts, a general construction and civil engineering specialist asnd plant hire arm, has gone into receivership with the loss of 58 staff.


Receivers RSM Tenon said that competitive pressures in the construction industry, prolonged bad weather and the recession had led to the collapse.


Joint receivers, Iain Fraser and Tom MacLennan, have urged businesses interested in the company to come forward as soon as possible. Three employees have been kept on to help in the winding down process.
