LONDON: Danfoss has launched its next generation of high performance airsource heat pumps at Ecobuild.
Said marketing manager Laura Dugdale: "The new DHP-AQ heat pump range was developed in Scandinavia. It offers market-leading seasonal performance, thanks to a unique control system that constantly controls and optimises three key parameters in the product - airflow with a quiet and efficient variable speed EC fan, the refrigerant circuit with its electronic expansion valve and heat distribution through OPTI technology.
"In combination, these create the ultimate in air/water heat pump efficiency, enabling DHP-AQ to perform perfectly at very low outdoor temperatures, keeping a property comfortably heated, as well as providing constant hot water."
The DHP-AQ airsource heat pumps are said to work well in the very coldest winters - even down to -20°C continuing to deliver a consistently comfortable indoor environment and constant hot water. This is made possible thanks to the defrosting technology. It ensures the energy efficiency and full functionality of the heat pump even during a cold winter.
The range has been purposed-designed to be straightforward for experienced heating engineers to install and Danfoss Heat Pumps is currently providing training to its network of approved installers on the new product range.
