Leonard Bros Construction bankrupt
Published:  15 February, 2011

OMAGH: A house-builder with developments in County Tyrone and County Donegal has been declared bankrupt.

Seamus P Leonard runs Omagh company Leonard Bros Construction, one of the best-known building firms in west Tyrone. He owns a variety of completed projects and undeveloped sites mainly around Omagh.

One of his firm's most ambitious projects was the Ros Mor development of houses and apartments in Donegal Town.

The property and building sector across Ireland has been badly affected by the recession and the bursting of a price bubble. In the Republic of Ireland the price of development land has fallen by more than 90% in some areas.
