NORTHAMPTON: Travis Perkins has ordered 505 compact excavators from JCB.

The deal for 371 mini excavators and 134 micro excavators will dramatically expand Travis Perkins' fleet available for hire.

Watling JCB secured the repeat order and all machines are made at JCB's factory in Cheadle.

UK and Ireland sales director Yvette Henshall-Bell said: "We are delighted to win this repeat business, particularly as it was secured in the face of fierce competition from other major suppliers in our industry."
