PTS supports training and gas safety

Published:  07 February, 2011

LONDON: PTS has joined forces with flue gas analyser manufacturer QMI as part of its continued dedication to the training and development of industry professionals alongside OLCI Construction Training.

PTS has been the sole provider of tools and products to OLCI’s 13 training centres for over a year and as part of this vital supply of equipment, QMI has pledged to equip each centre with specialist gas analysers for use in training plumbers nationwide.

Kelvin Stevens, PTS managing director, said: “Providing support to training centres and making sure they are properly equipped is essential to the continued development of skills in the heating and plumbing industry. PTS is the sole distributor of QMI gas analysers so we’re thrilled that they have joined us in backing OCLI’s training initiative.”

As part of PTS’ continued support to OCLI and the industry professionals of the future, graduates can purchase an exclusive tool kit containing essential equipment as well as receiving unique offers on a range of products at any PTS trade counter. To mark the start of this partnership, QMI 1000 gas analysers will now also be available from PTS at a special discounted rate.

Eddie Quigley of QMI added: “We share the same values as PTS in that we also believe it’s important to not just sell supplies but to take responsibility for supporting the industry. That is why PTS is our sole distributor and why we’re proud to provide OCLI’s centres with analysers for their training schemes.”

Sussex based QMI are experts in the manufacturing of measurement instruments and the ‘QMI 1000 Analyser’ uses infra red technology to provide a direct CO2 reading in a whole host of construction environments, including ambient domestic applications where the use of conventional methods of CO2 calculation is unsuccessful.
