Holmebuild expands in Yorkshire

ELLAND: Holmebuild Supplies has celebrated the start of the new year by opening a third branch in Elland.

A relatively new company, Holmebuild Supplies started up in the summer of 2006. The business quickly took off and the company opened up a second branch in July 2008, despite the threat of economic downturn.

"We decided that it was better to fight fire with fire," said director Andrew Skelton. "And went with expansion despite everyone telling us otherwise."

Two and a half years later, after the recession forced other merchants in the area to close down, the thriving Holmebuild business has opened the newest branch. "The three branches form a very neat locational triangle giving us coverage over a wide area," said Mr Skelton. "It is ideal logistically with regards to deliveries and customer service. It's like this branch is the last piece of the jigsaw because it fits so well with the rest of the company."
