Comap returns to its roots and Westco heritage

Published:  17 January, 2011

LEIGH: Plumbing and heating supplier Comap Westco has completed a structural change, which sees a return to the company’s original name, Westco and a to its independent status.

Westco – as the company will be known from January 2011 – will remain a distributor and trading company, servicing the builder & plumbers and heating merchant market. It turns over in excess of £27m a year as an independent company.

Westco’s customers will still benefit from the current 5500 strong product range which will remain the same.

However, further products are set to be added throughout 2011, thanks to Westco’s strong commitment to development and its impressive purchasing networks worldwide.

Managing director, Neil Johnston, said: "With the flexibility of independent status we’re now able to respond more quickly to our customers’ needs, which are naturally, quality, product and price driven.

"Westco boasts a 35-year history and pedigree and we’re confident that the return to our roots will meet with a favourable response from the marketplace, which has always viewed Westco as the one-stop-shop for all its heating and plumbing needs."
