IoBM Practical Building Skills Challenge Day

Published:  20 December, 2010

DERBY: Following the overwhelming success of its first ‘Practical Building Skills Challenge Event', the Institute of Builders Merchants wishes to announce details of its second event, which will be held at Derby College on Tuesday March 8th, 2011.

Working with products not only enhances product knowledge but enables employees to better advise customers on how to use and work with the products too.

At this event, the challenge for the teams of four will be to:

  • Lay bricks including features
  • Fix plasterboard & apply plaster
  • Bend & install copper pipes
  • Painting & decorating using innovative techniques

within a set timescale.

Prizes will be awarded for the best build and all attendees will be awarded a FREE years student membership of the Institute of Builders Merchants.

So if you don’t want to miss this opportunity to learn about the products we sell in a fun, hands on and challenging way, be quick to book your places via our website www.iobm.co.uk

Suppliers are welcome to support the event through sponsoring materials, providing prizes or through attendance on the day. Please contact Gill Sellick on admin@instbm.co.uk or 01767 650662 for further information.
