FAREHAM: Manufacturer and supplier of quality fans to the industrial and building services markets, Elta Fans, has appointed Mark Gallifant as its new key account manager for the eastern side of the UK.

Mr Gallifant, 50, joins from Fläkt Woods, where he has worked since leaving school. He was born and still lives in Colchester, Essex and understandably brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new position at Elta Fans.

Having undertaken an engineering apprenticeship with Fläkt Woods in 1977, Mr Gallifant studied mechanical and electrical engineering at Colchester Institute of Higher Education, where he gained his qualifications in 1983. He was promoted to various positions within the company not only in the UK but also in the USA when the company set up an American operation in Cincinnatti, Ohio in 1987.

In his new role at Elta Fans, Mr Gallifant will be looking after customers in the area of eastern England from the Thames to the Wash, covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and parts of East London. He will liaise with customers and consultants, dealing with all technical and sales enquiries from them as well as preparing tenders for heating and ventilation projects covering both technical and financial aspects of each.

He will also be responsible for preparing tenders and technical submissions for car park ventilation schemes and other large projects involving fans and control gear, not to mention provision for the installation and commissioning of the installed systems.
