LICHFIELD: Irwin Tools is launching a campaign for the Jack 880 and EVO handsaws that will offer those who purchase the saws a guaranteed instant win prize.

The promotion, which features 396 000 prizes and is Irwin’s biggest giveaway, starts on 1 January 2011 and is themed around ‘cutting edge’ technology.

All customers are guaranteed to win a prize every time they purchase a promotional Jack 880 or EVO saw in either January, February or March 2011.

Special on-pack stickers have been applied to the sleeves of saws that are taking part in the promotion, and these offer instant win notification. Buyers peel back the sticker to find what prize they have won. To redeem their prize, they then remove the sticker to reveal a unique code which is then entered online at www.irwin.co.uk/cuttingedge.

Prizes include everything from iPads, Playstation3s, iPhones, iPods, HD Freeview boxes and SatNavs, through to Evo vs Ferrari track days, mp3 downloads and drinks vouchers, as well as a selection of Irwin tools including tape measures, utility knives and blades, waterpump pliers and the EVO handsaw itself.

The Universal Triple Ground Jack 880, and the EVO handsaw will both be at the forefront of customers’ minds, thanks to a trade press advertising campaign, direct mailers, new point-of-sale materials and special offers for merchants.

Retailers will also have the opportunity to get their hands on gadgets for themselves, with rewards of iPods, iPhones and iPads based on cumulative saw purchases across the duration of the promotion.
