BRISTOL: Andrew Pocock has joined Ecomerchant to take on the role of UK technical manager (construction).

Mr Pocock has many years of experience working for the manufacturers of timber frame, I-joist and wood-fibre products. In addition to the UK, his work with various companies overseas, notably the US, Finland and Germany, has given him an insight into the development of eco-friendly products in North America and Europe.

Commenting on the challenges ahead, Mr Pocock said: “There is a growing awareness of ecological and healthier building methods and I am looking forward to working with Ecomerchant to promote and develop this sector of the construction industry with the company that is at the forefront of this field.”

Part of the Burdens Group, Ecomerchant is the UK’s leading environmental builders' merchant, promoting ethical trading in low-impact healthy building products. The company prides itself on the range of environmentally friendly products that can be bought online or ordered and collected from collection points nationwide.
