Bosch Themotechnology and Econergy announce Biomass Heating Alliance in UK
Published: 03 November, 2010
WORCESTER: Bosch Thermotechnology has announced that it has formed an alliance in order to provide investors, consultants and contractors the most comprehensive system and service solution for commercial biomass installations in the UK.
Both companies share a common, solution orientated approach and are focused on delivering best value over the product's lifetime. As an alliance, they will work closely together from initial design proposal to final commissioning and system maintenance to offer a seamless package of support. Both companies are known for their design and service excellence. Each company will promote the other's products and services and encourage customers to make full benefit of the integrated solution that they can provide.
With the Coalition Government poised to announce its plans to support renewable heating technologies right through to 2020, the timing of this announcement indicates that both Bosch Thermotechnology and Econergy are confident in the future of biomass heating in the UK and this alliance offers investors a solution with biomass boilers optimally integrated with high efficiency or condensing boilers and controls.
Econergy is one of the UK's leading suppliers of biomass boilers and complete biomass heating solutions including energy centres, district heating and biomass heat supply. Econergy offer biomass boilers manufactured by two of Europe's leading manufacturers: Froeling and KWB.
Econergy has grown rapidly since it was established in 1999 and this growth is expected to continue following investment by Centrica plc, British Gas.
Speaking about the agreement, Richard Evans, sales director at Buderus, part of Bosch Thermotechnology, said: "This is an excellent step for both businesses and offers real benefits to our customers".
"In most biomass installations there are also gas or oil fired boilers and controls and we have worked closely to design systems so that our products will work perfectly together. Both companies have a quality driven approach and a well established reputation for delivering high standards in all areas, so there is a very defined link between us. We are looking forward to a very prosperous relationship."
Chris Miles, managing director of at Econergy, said: "The Coalition Government plans to make an announcement about its support for renewable heat at around the time of the Spending Review. Commercial scale biomass boilers are recognised by the Department of Energy and Climate Change as one of the most cost effective technologies to deliver renewable heat, so once this Government announcement is made, we expect the demand for biomass boilers to increase significantly."
"Working alongside Bosch Thermotechnology is certain to further enhance our position in the market place and allows both companies to offer the highest quality, complete biomass system solutions to commercial customers."
