New Leader in lead industry

Published:  28 October, 2010

WELWYN GARDEN CITY: Eco-Bat Technologies, the world’s largest lead business is uniting its British and French operations – British Lead (BLM) and Le Plomb Français – under the banner of the Eco-Bat Sheet Division.

While continuing to trade under their existing brand names, the new operation will build on the strong positions each company holds in their respective markets with synergies deriving from the integration.

François Leclercq, currently La Plomb Français managing director, becomes the divisional commercial director, while overall control will be in the hands of Joss Campbell, currently commercial director for British Lead, who will take on the role of divisional director.

Joss Campbell’s credentials include 26 years in the industry, the majority with his present employer and a wider involvement in the business through his chairmanship of the UK Lead Sheet Association – a post he has held for eight years.

Commenting on his appointment Joss Campbell said: "Eco-Bat see this change as an opportunity to create a business that better reflects the post recessional market for lead and, as a major player, assure the future of one of the construction industry’s longest-serving products.”
