CHARD, SOMERSET: Bradfords Building Supplies donated the materials for Chard Boxing Club.

The club is run by professional boxing coach, Keith Roberts and was previously based at the Poulett Arms at Lopen. The club outgrew these premises and Roberts, with his wife Kay, who is a coach at the club, and their friends undertook the project to refurbish the new site.

Paul Carlisle of Bradfords Building Supplies stepped in to provide the materials for the new club in Chard.

The gym has five qualified coaches to help train young boxers and has a full-size ring, punch bags, speedballs and weight equipment.
