CAERNARFON: Andrew Craig, branch manager for Travis Perkins Caernarfon, has raised almost £15 000 for the charity, Breast Cancer Campaign.

He is walking up Wales' highest mountain every week this year to raise money. So far he has made 44 treks to Snowdon's summit and, during the summer, he twice hiked up the mountain in one day in order to catch up.

Nr Craig said: "So far I've raised £14 548.15 which is a fantastic total. People have been very generous in donating their money to a very worthwhile cause. I'm hopeful the final total by the end of the year will be more than £20 000. Now I'm planning something special to round off the challenge."

At the weekend Andrew staged a charity ball at Galeri Caernarfon and raised more than £8000.
