Attempted theft at Bradford Building Supplies

MALVERN: Police arrested a man after an attempted theft of metal at Bradford Building Supplies off Pickersleigh Road, just before 3am yesterday morning.

Officers on patrol in the town searched a white Renault Prima parked at the merchant's premises and found it loaded with rolls of lead worth around £7000.

A man in his 20s was later arrested on the A449 at Powick at 4.25am on suspicion of burglary and detained at Worcester Police Station while enquiries continued.

Police are appealing for information on the incident and would like to hear from anyone who saw anyone in the area at the time, or the van being driven or parked.
