Ridgeons’ employee secures Code assessor status

Published:  18 August, 2010

CAMBRIDGE: Ridgeons’ business development manager, Dave Jordan, has qualified as a BREEAM assessor licensed to carry out assessments under the Code for Sustainable Homes, making the firm one of the first builders merchants in the UK to gain true expert status in relation to the Code for Sustainable Homes.

Angela Rushforth, managing director of Ridgeons, said: “The Code for Sustainable Homes is central to our clients’ businesses, and therefore of critical importance to our own. The expertise that we can now offer as a result of Dave becoming a BREEAM assessor sets us apart from other merchants in the region. It is also a very timely development for us with the new building regulations due to be released in October this year.”

As a BREEAM assessor, Mr Jordan has an in-depth knowledge of the Code for Sustainable Homes and its implications for both public and private new-builds.
