Nicholls to shut Stratford site

Published:  16 August, 2010

BANBURY: John Nicholls is to close its Stratford branch on 1 September.

The company said it plans to focus on medium and long-term plans. These include the expansion of current branches and the launch of new branches in the Midlands area.

"Our strategy is also to take stock of our current structure and evaluate each branch in conjunction with our expansion scheme," said managing director David Hebdon.

"The decision to close our Stratford plumbing and heating branch is because it does not meet the requirements of our ongoing development as a business.

"The area will continue to be serviced from our branches in Rugby and Banbury and will enable us to develop our strategy within the 30-mile radius of our head office site in Banbury," Mr Hebdon explained.
