Brett wins best practice accolade

LEICESTER: Brett Landscaping celebrated winning second place in the Health & Safety Award category for the company's 'Slips, Trips and Falls' campaign. The company also received a Gold Award with Red Seal for the British Precast Concrete Federation Hard Targets 2010 scheme. The award was in recognition of Physical Safety, Behavioural Safety, and Occupation Health projects.

British Precast Best Practice Awards took place at Concrete 2010 in Leicester earlier this month.

Brett Landscaping saw improvement in the company's SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) performance during 2009 and enjoyed a 31% reduced incident rate. A reduced RIDDOR rate (Reporting of Injuries, Disease, and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations of 78% was achieved, helping the company meet a five-year target reduction of over 50%.

Brett Landscaping also achieved ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification for its Pocklington and Barrow Upon Soar sites.
