TTF launches plywood customs tool

Published:  13 May, 2010

LONDON: The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) has launched an easy to use online tool to help its members select the appropriate code for their Plywood products when making customs declarations.

Nicolas Llewellin of the TTF, said: "The plywood customs tool will help importers and agents of plywood, veneered panels and similar laminated wood products select the correct customs code, a process which can sometimes cause confusion and delays."

The tool leads members through a series of 'yes' or 'no' questions until the correct classification for their product is reached. There are also options to click directly on any Customs Code to view further information and examples of plywood classified under that code.
