Practical displays and hands-on training come to Aylesford

KENT: Polypipe Ventilation, manufacturer of energy-saving domestic and light commercial ventilation systems, has opened a ventilation training and practical display site at the company's group Centre of Excellence – a 15 000ft multi-use unit based in Aylesford.
The centre has been created especially for the Polypipe Group to provide awareness of the range of products and services that Polypipe can provide as a group.
The centre's facilities include a modern training room with hands-on displays of Polypipe products, an outside area for larger products and the centrepiece of the site which is a large showroom with presentation facilities displaying working models of Polypipe products.
The building also features an area on the top floor where visitors can work, with laptop connections, phones and kitchen facilities.
Polypipe Ventilation has a number of products displayed at the centre. These include the HR01 SAP Appendix Q registered wall-mounted heat recovery appliance which is shown installed with their energy-saving Domus duct systems. In addition, a traditional ducted cooker hood installation is also on display.
Supporting graphics explain the science of air flow and ventilation as well as the performance benefits of adopting the whole system approach of the company's ventilation systems.
Installers and specifiers will also be able to use a computer terminal to test the simple VSP duct and appliance system specifier to select and configure the most energy efficient and maximum performance ventilation system whatever technology they are using.
An NIBE exhaust air heat pump installed with Domus duct systems, including sound-absorbing, heat retention and condensation control system components. Graphics explaining the benefits of using Domus duct systems for heat pumps completes the picture. Visitors can see duct installations and get hands-on with products to gain a greater understanding of airflow.
