Redland offers solar PV training

CRAWLEY: The Redland Training and Resource Centre will this year offer a one-day course on how to install the company’s roof integrated solar PV systems.

The course will give roofing contractors, merchants and solar panel installers the opportunity to install a range of PV panels with different tile types, as the Redland system has been specifically designed to integrate with eight of Redland's most popular tile ranges. Delegates will also be given an overview of how the system works and how to site PV systems correctly. Courses run throughout the year for between four and eight people and cover both classroom and practical workshop activities, including: ·How PV works. ·Terminology and components. ·Design considerations. ·Different types of installation/panel. ·Use of the Redland Ecomaster. ·Installation of PV panel with different types of tiles and fittings.
