Brett announces simple solution for access fittings

in both 110mm and 160mm diameters. A full range of 110mm fittings, pipe, bend and branch, plus 160mm access pipe are now designed to provide an easier method of closure for a watertight and airtight seal.
A twist and lock cap means installers can close the fittings with a quarter turn. The removal of a threaded access cap connection to the housing of the main body means that 'cross-threaded' problems are eliminated.
The 103mm opening allows access to the pipework system for testing and maintenance procedures, while a new hand grip feature and locators on the insert provides user comfort.
Graham Smith, GB sales director of the company, said: "Failure of the seal within the access assembly of many products is all too common. This is generally due to the angle of the thread preventing even pressure on the plug insert.
"We have eliminated this problem, as the quarter turn cap ensures equal sealing pressure around the seal."
Fit for anything.
With a fully threaded housing there is the potential for cross-threading, making a positive air test extremely difficult to achieve. With fine plastic threads, this can result in the pipe system needing to be dismantled to replace the entire fitting. "Our fittings are impossible to cross-thread, removing this problematic element of installation," Mr Smith explained.
Access fittings are available to suit all colours of both push-fit and solvent weld systems.
The push-fit range consists of a 110mm single socket access pipe, a 110mm 92.5 degree single socket access bend, a 110mm 92.5 degree double socket access branch and a 160mm single socket access pipe.
For solvent weld fittings, the range consists of a 110mm double socket access pipe, a 110mm 92.5 degree double socket access bend and a 110mm 92.5 degree triple socket access branch.
"All of our soil and rainwater system access fittings are manufactured from PVC and polypropylene components, making them durable and ultimately, recyclable," Mr Smith added.
