SCOTLAND: During a recent visit to Norbord's operation in Cowie, Prime Minister Gordon Brown toured the 14 megawatt biomass plant into which Norbord invested £2.5m in 2008.

During the tour, Mr Brown also met workers and apprentices and learned how the company – said to be the UK's largest manufacturer of engineered wood-based panels – had adjusted its management of the business in response to the recession.
