Keston climbs Kilimanjaro for charity

Published:  18 March, 2010

KENT: Nick Whitwell, managing director of Keston boilers, has successfully reached the summit of Kilimanjaro, along with six colleagues from the building services industry, raising over £33 000 for charity.

The climb was in aid of SACRED (South African Children's Resource for Educational Development). Mr Whitwell and his  team set off on 8 March and, following a five-day trek, made their destination in the early hours of Friday morning on 12 March.

The expedition, and all associated costs, were personally funded so that all monies raised went directly to the charity.

Merchants who would like to show their support for this endeavour, can make donations to the charity directly.
