WEST MIDLANDS: Lafarge UK is continuing its support of the Building Council for Sustainable Development by exhibiting at its inaugural exhibition, People.Space.Movement: 'a Window on Tomorrow's Low Carbon World' at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on 22 March.

This national exhibition brings together industry leaders, politicians, planners and engineers in order to debate and promote a 'vision for tomorrow's low carbon economy'.

At the exhibition Lafarge UK - which comprises Lafarge Cement and Lafarge aggregates and concrete - will celebrate some of its key achievements in creating innovative and sustainable building materials to support a low carbon economy.

The company will explain its approach to sustainable construction which includes engaging in partnerships with architects and planning quarry restoration schemes.

Said Lafarge Readymix managing director Jeremy Greenwood: "We believe that operating our businesses successfully and sustainably go hand-in-hand. The BCSD plays an important role in promoting these values and is working with government towards achievable a more sustainable society."
