BURY ST EDMUNDS: Chris Peverett, who has extensive experience in the building supplies trade, has joined East Anglian builders merchant Kent Blaxill as the new sales representative for the company’s Bury St Edmunds branch.

Mr Peverett, 46, who lives at Elmswell, has been in the building supplies trade since the age of 22, working as a salesman and branch manager for a number of companies covering the local counties.

Mr Peverett said: “I wanted to work again with an independent merchant and Kent Blaxill is a successful and expanding company with a reputation for looking after its staff and customers. I am looking forward to being back on the road servicing the local tradesmen and meeting new customers, as well as rekindling old relationships.”

Outside of work Mr Peverett and his family have appeared on TV in a competition for Sports Relief, and more recently filmed the pilot for Ant and Dec’s new show Push the Button, which was recorded at Pinewood Studios.
