Jackson joins Lafarge to offer customers World Cup prize
Published: 08 March, 2010
BRISTOL/LINCOLN: Lafarge Plasterboard and Jackson Building Centres have launched a World Cup competition for UK customers.
Called 'Put your shirt on us winning the World Cup,' the campaign is available at all 24 Jackson Building Centres in the UK and runs from now until the end of April.
Customers that spend £150 on GTEC plasterboard and £100 on GTEC plasterboard accessories in one transaction will receive a special edition England shirt, emblazoned with the number '6', as sported by England Captain Bobby Moore when he lifted the trophy for the nation at Wembley in 1966.
Customers may enter a prize draw to win two tickets to the historic stadium for the first England friendly after the World Cup.
Ben White, trade marketing manager for Lafarge Plasterboard, said: "We're thrilled to be working with Jackson Building Centres to offer customers something special for the World Cup year.
"Two tickets to the match will also be awarded to the Jackson employees who sell the most drylining products, encouraging some friendly competition to learn the most about Lafarge Plasterboard's range of accessories and pass on our technical expertise to customers."
Steve Marris, commercial director for Jackson Building Centres, said: "The competition has been well received – we're already seeing customers leaving in their England shirts with plasterboard under their arm. Increased sales and customer satisfaction is one thing, but if our confidence rubs off on the England team then we'll be over the moon!"
The competition is limited to one entry per customer to ensure there will be plenty of shirts to go around.
The promotion is being supported by a poster campaign and flyers, including info cards featuring the World Cup fixtures list and details on Lafarge Plasterboard products
